Service Pack 10 for NeuroCheck 5.1

The tenth service pack of NeuroCheck 5.1 provides a new model range of supported digital cameras (IEEE 1394 cameras) with the fast FireWire-"b" interface. Further some minor improvements and bug-fixes are included, listed in file History.txt.

Baumer NCF camera series
The new Baumer NCF camera series extends the range of IEEE 1394 (FireWire) cameras once more. These NCF Cameras are very fast digital cameras in a tiny housing with the known high quality in image aquisition (see also Supported Cameras):

NCF103: a monochrome CCD-camera with 656 x 494 pixel resolution at up to 90 frames per second.

NCF108: a monochrome CCD-camera with 1032 x 776 pixel resolution at up to 28 frames per second.

NCF113: a monochrome CCD-camera with 1392 x 1040 pixel resolution at up to 20 frames per second.

NCF114: a monochrome CCD-camera with 1392 x 1040 pixel resolution at up to 20 frames per second.

NCF120: a monochrome CCD-camera with 1624 x 1236 pixel resolution at up to 16 frames per second.

Please note that due to the changes new driver versions are required (Ncfwbofx.dll version 5.1.3043.1, FxLib.dll version 5.0.4.12, Baumer OHCI driver version 1.6.2).

In order to avoid compatibility problems in existing applications, the service pack for download from the Internet does not contain the new driver DLL. You can order both NeuroCheck driver DLL and low-level drivers from support@fsinet.com.

Important Notes

This service pack contains new features, enhancements and bug-fixes. For details please contact our technical support.

The file format for check routines remains unchanged since SP7. Due to the new features in SP7, the CHR file format has changed in comparison to previous releases. Old check routine files can be loaded as usual, but check routines created with SP7 or higher cannot be read by previous NeuroCheck versions.

Due to compatibility reasons, the new camera drivers are not included in this Service-Pack. The IEEE 1394 camera driver of the Baumer FWX NC Edition and NCF series is available as a separate download on this page. If you currently are using a Basler BCam IEEE 1394 camera or a mvTITAN frame grabber board then please contact our Technical Support for the special compatibility notes.

Due to the file size, the updated online help is not part of this Service-Pack, but is available as a separate download on this page.

Installation

Most of the files are self-extracting zip archive packed with WinZip Self-Extractor. Unpack the archives to NeuroCheck's installation directory, if no other location is stated. Necessary sub-directories will be created automatically.

  • Copy the service pack into an arbitrary directory on your NeuroCheck system.
  • Double-click the file to start the installation.
  • In the appearing dialog, configure the installation directory of NeuroCheck 5.1.
  • Click "Unzip" to overwrite the existing files of your NeuroCheck installation with newer versions.
  • At the end of the installation file History.txt will be opened to inform you in detail about the changes in this service pack.

Please note that a subsequent repair run of the original setup for NeuroCheck 5.1 will replace most of the updated files with their original versions, requiring a re-run of the service pack.
