The FSI
FireCube combines the power and performance of modern camera and
computer technology with the advantages of high speed Fire Wire
connectivity. Integrating NeuroCheck with this small form factor
unit provides reliability, ease of use, and an exceptionally
high degree of standardization. The FSI FireCube offers
cutting-edge digital image reproduction that gives users an
unbeatable combination of NeuroCheck and clear, sharp images.
The system can be configured for color or monochrome, area or
line scan image processing.
The
IEEE 1394 bus provides for intelligent camera control, since
NeuroCheck and the camera communicate directly, changes to
camera set-ups can be performed instantly without the need for
hardware switches or modifications.
The FSI
FireCube offers state of the art performance when compared to
traditional intelligent sensors. This unit is available with up
to 3 cameras.
Modern
camera technology provides extremely low-noise picture quality
with high clock rates for high-speed applications. The unique
size and affordable accessories make this a highly flexible
solution for shop-floor deployment.
The
functional aluminum housing of the FSI FireCube with its
integrated heat pipe cooling system is suitable for stand alone
operation on the shop floor or for control cabinet mounting. The
FireCube contains the latest communication standards including
Digital I/O, RS232, and Ethernet support for direct PLC
communication and statistical reporting. Multiple FireCubes can
be networked to provide factory-wide quality control. Results
can be delivered on a shift-by-shift basis directly to a
specified computer in the organization allowing immediate access
to SPC and functional data.
